The Village Websmith - Web Design & Development in Your Area
My Top Ten Jobs Page.
First used just over a year ago now, the Top Ten recent jobs page was designed for building trades, car or antique restorers and similar applications where there was a case study that could be linked to a before and after image composite. This also helped greatly with search engine performance as it linked service to place very effectively and held lots of relevant, useful information with enough space to use variations on phrases to increase the chance of showing relevance to search phrases no matter how they are formatted. The latest change to this page has allowed linking to multiple images from the gallery database to show progress through an operation. The layout is based on the same grid chosen for the gallery in terms of columns with as many rows as necessary being generated automatically.Abenhall is a tiny, ancient village in a secluded quiet valley near Mitcheldean. The parish includes the settlement of Plump Hill, on the Mitcheldean to Cinderford Road as it climbs into the high Forest.
Once part of the Westbury Hundred (which was known as Dene at the time of the 1086 Doomsday book) Abenhall is on the Flaxley to Mitcheldean Road. Originally a mining and iron making centre, it is notable for its 14th century Church of St Michael, which is built of local red sandstone and has excellent contemporary carvings relating to the Forest of Dean's industries. These include a shield bearing the arms of the Freeminers on the west wall and the fabulous mid -15th century octagonal font, that has tools of miners and metalworkers incised on its St Michaels at Abenhall sides.
St. Michael's Church - originally built as a chapel of ease, the church was expanded in the 14th century to include nave, south aisle and tower. The arms of the Freeminers can be seen on the south side of the tower and on the 18th century font. St. Michael's Church - Abenhall is 1.5 km south of Mitcheldean and is set in beautiful surroundings on the edge of the Forest. Old Parish baptism, marriage and burial registers, from 1596, are stored at the Gloucestershire Record Office. Magnificent Monday - MOJO Day
The word Monday is derived from the old English for Day of the Moon. Let's use it to aim for the moon in our businesses.
This is your first chance of the working week to do something incredible in your business. While others wallow in the 'Monday Blues' you can promote your products and services to new customers. Take a while to think about the MOJO of your business. The defining quality that makes you stand out. The reason that people must buy from you and not from anyone else.
Does this reason come across clearly in all your business communications? On your website? In your advertising? Does it leap off the page of your brochures and flyers? How about your business cards? Your signage on buildings and vehicles? Your business letters and invoices?
Every word that you write about your business is a chance to get the sales message across and must be used to the maximum effect.
Over the years, hundreds of Village Websmith customers have been helped to identify their MOJO, put it into a powerful message, then get it seen by potential new customers. Call us today on 0203 239 0350 or click in the header of any page to email us and get your MOJO working.
