The gallery page has got some key new features that we have been working on for a while. As well as the familiar category drop down selection, there is now a search function that looks for your word or phrase in the topic, image file name and main detail text. This should help visitors find just the image or group of images that they are looking for. Once they have found them, there is more in store. Opening the image into its full sized viewer now gives the opportunity to toggle back and forth between the picture and the words. This is automatically picked up if any text has been entered and a link is placed below the image alongside its caption. You can also now assign a status to each image and have that displayed as a small graphic below the thumbnail
