Morris of Glasgow Furniture Maker to all sorts of people…

Going back to the days when so much more was made by hand, with all the skill and care that could be applied, there was a great deal of pride in a job well done. Even better, back to a day when common sense was more common than today. If you marked the left hand slide out tray with an L, there was no need to mark the other one.

That shows in the stylised mark of the furniture maker, Morris of Glasgow in the top drawers. Even covered in an ancient ink stain, they still show through to proclaim their pride in what they do.

The informal placing of the initials JM, belonging to some unknown and probably long gone member of Morris of Glasgow staff, to show personal as well as corporate pride.
